Bread!!
People, I made this bread. It's easy and delicious. Say it with me: NO KNEADING. I used the Artisan Bread in 5 minutes a day method (or apparently, ABin5 for those in the know). That link includes the step-by-step with pictures. One batch makes several loaves and you keep it in the fridge and pull out chunks as needed, let them rise about an hour, and then bake them up. I stored my dough in a lidded pyrex mixing bowl, setting the lid on top, rather than sealing it. My lidded pyrex mixing bowls, a housewarming gift from my grandmother, number among my very favorite kitchen tools. You can go straight from cooking to storing in the same container.
Next up, a healthier form of easy bread. I will let you know how that goes.

Oh, delicious looking bread! I'm going to have to check out that link. I'm not much of a cook but I want to learn.
ReplyDeleteLike you I've been going thru summer blahs as well. I'm so looking forward to FAll. Let me know if you find some way to boost your motivation. I could use a little boost myself.
BTW, I'm in your blogging eclass and just making the rounds to all the blogs. It's nice to find a more personal blog to read. So many of our classmates seem to have decorating specific blogs, which is nice but I prefer a glimpse into the bloggers personal world. Anyway, nice to meet you!
