As much as I wish Hollywood would come up with stuff that is not based on a book (comic books excluded, of course), at least they picked some really awesome books to turn into movies!
I definitely think I'm going to reread The Hobbit.
I actually re-listened (if that's a thing) to The Hobbit recently and really enjoyed it that way. It was definitely a different experience than reading it, and probably a lot faster with the pace I've been going ...
I'm with you on Anna Karenina! Dunno if I'll get there, but I'll try :)
I have The Hobbit on audiobook, too (actually, I've had mine so long, it's on tape!). I really like listening to it. My only complaint is that he sings all the goblin songs. Doesn't he know you're just supposed to skip over the songs?

I wish I could say that I thought I'd have the time to read all of these in less than three months, but sadly, I know I would fail.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you, though! I'd like to someday read the top three, too, and re-read the Hobbit. :)
Haha! I don't even actually have time to write this post, so it's definitely fruitless. I will probably get the hobbit retread, but that's it.

DeleteMore importantly, he sings all the goblin songs in a creepy goblin voice.
