Books to Read or Re-Read by the End of the Year

(I've seen the musical a bunch of times. Does that count?)

(this last one is a re-read for the fourth or fifth time)

Is anyone else with me on this? We could call it the Movie Book Club 2012 or something.

  1. As much as I wish Hollywood would come up with stuff that is not based on a book (comic books excluded, of course), at least they picked some really awesome books to turn into movies!

I definitely think I'm going to reread The Hobbit.

  2. I wish I could say that I thought I'd have the time to read all of these in less than three months, but sadly, I know I would fail.

Best of luck to you, though! I'd like to someday read the top three, too, and re-read the Hobbit. :)

  3. Haha! I don't even actually have time to write this post, so it's definitely fruitless. I will probably get the hobbit retread, but that's it.

  4. I actually re-listened (if that's a thing) to The Hobbit recently and really enjoyed it that way. It was definitely a different experience than reading it, and probably a lot faster with the pace I've been going ...

I'm with you on Anna Karenina! Dunno if I'll get there, but I'll try :)

    1. I have The Hobbit on audiobook, too (actually, I've had mine so long, it's on tape!). I really like listening to it. My only complaint is that he sings all the goblin songs. Doesn't he know you're just supposed to skip over the songs?

    2. More importantly, he sings all the goblin songs in a creepy goblin voice.

Comment nicely and with tolerance or be deleted!
